The Streak
By: Connor Lenahan
I was informed yesterday of our family itinerary for the day today. Wake up at 6AM, fly out of Newark, NJ at 9 AM, land in London at 10 PM. Thanks to a 6 hour flight and 6 hour time difference we were basically time traveling.
I also became concerned about how in the hell I would comfortably put up an article for today, July 2nd. I’ve posted enough in a row now that I am fully committed to keeping up my streak of posting daily for the foreseeable future. Until 12/31/14 at least.
I wouldn’t be able to do it comfortably, but I could do it. That’s why this article will be published at 6AM EST before my brain is even operational. The streak will survive an overseas trip.
Unbreakable has now passed 51,000 reads as of a few days ago. This post also marks the end of the first half of 2014. Both of these figures are incredible. I’ve loved getting to write every day – this challenge is hyper rewarding in ways that are borderline unimaginable. So keeping it up for 50% of the calendar year with no end in sight makes me happy. Judging by that statistic above, it’s making you happy as well.
Thank you all for helping make 2014 the most fun year I have had in my entire life and for reading all this time. I means the world. I’ll keep writing over these next few weeks and I’ll get to cover a culture entirely separate to mine. This might get fun.
Thanks again everyone.
