At Last, Sun
By: Connor Lenahan
This morning I went outside and two things happened. First, I was not wearing a winter coat. Second, I wore sunglasses. It is not hyperbole when I admit that this sensation brought me greater happiness than anything else in life. The birth of my first child will be on par with eating Skittles in comparison to how happy I felt to be outside without quietly mumbling obscenities related to the cold and the snow in Boston. This was a blessing. Even better yet, Boston is quickly approaching this same weather.
Okay, maybe not. Well apparently it was 60 yesterday. Glass half full?
I’m never leaving California. Well, at least until I see something close to 50 on the thermometer. Until then, I’ll be outside, without a hoodie, happier than ever.
