At Long Last, Target
By: Connor Lenahan
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time. In just a matter of hours – 8AM tomorrow to be exact – Boston’s CityTarget will open at last. You know what that means? I may or may not be camping outside of the store to ensure that I am the first in it.
I’m not really kidding. Seriously, I am more genuinely excited for this opening – earlier than the announced July 26th “grand opening” – than most other things this summer.
Just think about it: Finally there will be an all purpose store right next to Boston University. Yes there is a Shaw’s around and Bed, Bath, and Beyond to cover a lot of the in-room needs, but I would absolutely prefer if I could get all three of the following errands done in one run:
-Get NBA 2K16
-Get Doritos
-Get plastic bowls for Doritos and, eventually, cereal.
All three of those will now be done at one time. Hell, you can even get a latte while you shop because there’s a Starbucks in store. Have I mentioned that I’m excited? Because I’m really excited.
Not only does this serve as a piece of home for me, but it genuinely makes my life easier – less shopping stops with the wheelchair are preferable. This is a game changer, as goof as I am about it. Tomorrow is gonna be one for the ages.
