Football is Back! Yes, Preseason Counts

Foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooootball is back, ladies and gentlemen. Well, that’s not technically true. Tonight is only the first of multiple, relatively meaningless, preseason contests. However, this does signal that we are quickly approaching football season in true form.

I mean, yeah, the Steelers and Vikings will likely not even have some of their best players take the field tonight. Adrian Peterson, who hasn’t played in the preseason since 2011, will likely not get a carry. But just knowing that we are close gets me excited. Is this a stretch? Of course it is. I don’t deny that whatsoever. But on the off chance that anything of note happens tonight then it will signal a return to my favorite time of year: Football season. Finally.
