Merry Draftmas
By: Connor Lenahan
Today is, was, and forever will be my favorite holiday. Not my birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Leif Ericsson Day, Halloween, or Easter – Draft Day was today for the XFL, the fantasy football league I’ve been the commissioner of since I was in seventh grade. Every time we get the friends and family that are kind enough to play with us it’s an amazing day.
Weirdly this was one of the more solid drafts we have ever had. Everyone, for the most part at least, picked a solid team. Our newest coach, Laura LaBrecque, who you’d remember from our anniversary a few days back, even drafted a potential juggernaut in her first draft.
More fun to come this season and even tonight. Football is back, and Draft Day is here for a little bit longer. Hallelujah.
