Give Leslie Knope Her Emmy

The 2015 Emmys will begin here shortly and there are plenty of storylines to watch on the night. But there is only one that I care about, and that’s the race for Best Actress in a Comedy. That’s because this is the final chance for Amy Poehler to win an Emmy in recognition for her amazing Leslie Knope.

Leslie Knope is one of the best television characters ever. The fact that Poehler has yet to have been awarded an Emmy for this remains one of the weirder mysteries of the award show’s history.

But tonight that can be corrected. Tonight that can be redeemed. Tonight Amy Poehler can get to shine like the star she is on that stage. All that needs to happen is to give Leslie Knope her Emmy at long last.
