Road Trip Time

Is there anything better than a weekend road trip? Well, only a weekend road trip that ends with a football game. This afternoon my girlfriend Laura and I will be heading out to Pennsylvania on our way to see Penn State play. This will be my 10th season going to see the Nittany Lions play in Happy Valley, but it’s Laura’s first. This creates an interesting dynamic as Penn State football is largely akin to a religious experience.

So Laura is walking into a world she is most likely unprepared for. Meanwhile I get to fall back into rabid football fandom that is normally subdued with me being a couple states away for kickoff. The same is universally true, this is gonna be awesome. Cue up the music, it’s road trip time.
