American Crime Story: Best Show Ever?

The funny part about the question I’m asking in the title is that American Crime Story hasn’t aired an episode yet. It won’t until two months from today. In fact, there wasn’t even a trailer for the FX show until just today. You need to watch this trailer.

To be completely honest this show looks like it is going to suck all kinds of suck and come away with the top prize at the 2016 Suck Awards, sponsored by Tootsie Pops. It looks entirely over the top, the dialog looks completely unrealistic – “I’m not black, I’m OJ!” – and someone casted David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian.

I say all of this though fully aware of the fact that I am going to watch the absolute shit out of that show. Are you nuts? David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian is the absolute perfect casting choice. Ditto for Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ Simpson. Throw in Sarah Paulson, who is legitimately talented and will likely be the saving grace of the show, and John Travolta, aka Commander Cuckoo Bananas, and you have me sold. I’m officially clearing my schedule for February 2nd.
