Well Played, DeVry

The amount of joy the following story brought me is pretty much without a peer, it was amazing.

This year’s NCAA Tournament has been predictably crazy in as much that it’s been unpredictable. Look no further than last night’s crazy comeback by Texas A&M to thwart Northern Iowa. Predicting that the tournament would quickly devolve into absolute madness, I tweeted what I presumed the Final Four would be.

Hawaii, Syracuse, Greendale Community College, and Abington Heights High School.

My buddy James Mattone took it upon himself to question why I hadn’t picked IMG Academy for the Final Four. I told him it was because I had them losing to DeVry for a Sweet Sixteen bid. From there we continued to enjoy finding weird suggestions for Final Four teams.

DeVry, without solicitation or a heads up/link of any kind, responded to our conversation two days later.

I would like to formally apologize for anything I have ever said negatively about DeVry. I actually want to redact all statements I’ve had about the school and just make all of them be outright praise for unknowingly sending me the funniest tweet I have ever seen in my entire life.

Bless you DeVry, and my apologies for picking you to be upset by the University of Phoenix in our next iteration of the NCAA tournament. Nothing personal.
