The Honest Revenant

I think that I was likely a little too excited to see that there was an Honest Trailer on YouTube for The Revenant today. For a movie that I came out of the theater liking and genuinely rooting for Leo DiCaprio to win for I had a bunch of problems with it over the last few months. That is to say that it was fairly annoying to keep looking back at random shots of trees. But Screen Junkies correctly points out a couple of things – like the semi-goofy physicality – that sat dormant yet probably factored into why The Revenant didn’t win best picture. It’s a fun video, and any chance to share something that made me laugh is a good time.
