A Tragic Loss
By: Connor Lenahan
Earlier this morning the body of a Boston University freshman was found at Kilachand Hall on campus. The details of what happened and the identity of the student the BU community tragically lost today are not clear tonight, but that doesn’t change that this is one of the saddest days the school has had in a long time.
Losing a student is the worst possible thing for a school and a student body. A family lost a member today, students lost a friend, and the school lost a Terrier. It’s terrible. It’s a loss that shouldn’t and isn’t ever wished on anyone.
On a personal level this tragedy was especially troubling. I lived in Kilachand Hall for each of the last two summers and have a special place in my heart for the old building. For the students that live there today is likely the hardest day they will face as students – which goes for most everyone.
Thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by this loss today.
