Never Forget – 15 Years

By: Connor Lenahan

15 is an incredible milestone. Obviously no distance from the darkest day in modern American history is enough to repair the damage from that day, but it has become incredible that children that are now beginning to enter young adulthood will be learning about 9/11 as a moment in history.

Every person I know on a personal level can recall where they were on the morning of the 9/11 attacks. Aside from broken bones, that morning is one of the only memories I vividly have before turning double digits years old. But I have family members born after the attacks that are genuinely old enough to grasp the magnitude.

No amount of time from the attack will ever make the pain of that day lessen, but hopefully it will continue to bring more people into this world to help us heal from the aftermath of the attacks. It’s unbelievable that it’s been 15 years, and will continue to be unbelievable forever.

Never, ever, forget this day in history, and the stories of the families personally affected by this tragic morning.
