Pyramid of Greatness

By: Connor Lenahan

I have spent the a great amount of time this summer not just working at Boston University, but watching Netflix as well. A few weeks ago I finished the masterful House of Cards. To break up the seriousness and the drama that the show brought, I turned to anything funny. This quickly became my second binge watch of the summer: Parks and Recreation.

I’m in the midst of a blitzkrieg through the fourth season which I will finish as soon as I finish typing this. The show on the whole is incredible however one aspect truly stands out. This is, of course, one of the greatest characters in television history – Ron Swanson.

For those not indoctrinated to the teachings of the greatest man to ever come from these United States, I turn you to this attached video. It’s so amazing that I am unable to embed it in this article. That, and the user has disabled embedding… due to awesomeness.

Never is Swanson better, which is saying something, than when he reveals his greatest contribution to this world. The Swanson Pyramid of Greatness.

I had this poster on the wall of my dorm room all of freshman year. You know what it did? It made me a man. After affixing this brilliant document above where I’d lay at head at night I noticed that my facial hair growth quintupled and I gained twenty pounds of burly, american-made muscle.

The greatest thing you can and ever will do for your life is to study this poster and adopt it into each and every part of your life. I have, and look at me now.

Just remember, avoid skim milk at all costs.

Long Live Ron Swanson.
